Is Sanskrit the oldest language?

I have heard this many times.

More than enough.

Who says this?

People of India.

Is this true?

This is false.

As a proof these people give Vedas example (written in Sanskrit).

And also claim it was used even before that. This is language of God.

But evidence suggests before Vedic People India was home of Harrappan Civilization.

There language was not sanskrit.

Moreover many civilisations (who had different languages) are much older than Vedic Age of India, so this also points that sanskrit is not the oldest.

So why people repeat this, again and again.

Language is just a way of communication. All languages are good. They serve their purposes.

At present English is spoken and understood all over the world.

Cultural activities, Knowledge in English surpasses all other languages by a long shot and languages like sanskrit are not even close to it.

Sanskrit is just an old language.

People who claim it is oldest have vested interest to control people.

Oldest Language > So Vedas are Oldest > Vedas Knowledge is First > Direct from Gods > So Vedas and Religion they Created is Good > Follow the Priest > Spend your money, Time on unnecessary things > and be stupid by closing the path of searching and understanding other things
